If Redemption is Now A Requirement (see: Gingrich) How Can a Sane Person Stand Such Times and Live?

Soup McGee Rachel Tabachnick And why would we want him to do this?

Soup McGee I want to know if, since redemption is introduced as the reason I should swallow Gingrich, will a Democrat or other person who is stereo-typed as non-believing be given the same pass? What about Jewish representatives…who have had sex scandals? Should Anthony Wiener decide to run for President in 2016, will he need Jesus to redeem him in order to be “electable?”
Also-- Mitt Romney does not think violent felons should be able to vote…is that because he believes in selective redemption? Or does he think the state has power to decide redemption? What about people who have served their time? Is his position based on politics or his ideas for policy?
Finally, is redemption a church issue for the candidates? Or a state? Lots of reasons…:-)

Rachel Tabachnick Interesting points but dangerous precedent, I think. Not that this kind of thing hasn't happened before. Fred Barnes still brags about being the first person to ask a presidential candidate if he was "born again." It was Ronald Reagan. Since then candidates have had to go great lengths to prove their religious credentials.

asks from a private citizen's concern--I want to know if, since redemption is introduced as the reason I should swallow Gingrich, will a Democrat or other person who is stereo-typed as non-believing be given the same pass? Another wording- is redemption a church issue for the candidates? Or a state issue? Chuckle--- this is NOT a spiritual Concern for me, for My reasons I am interested---I pledge Allegiance to the Flag. Full Stop.

Anyone pledging more value to their god than to the Document that protects them from and provides for them that freedom… is in need of a good talkin’ to. Just My thought.
Again, Happy Birthday. Thanks for your service and your reporting!
